I am very happy to inform, that I have been recognized as a private cello, piano, music theory, and singing teacher by the prestigious Incorporated Society of Musicians (ISM). ISM is UK's leading body for professional musicians and a subject association for music education, established in 1882. It aims to help musicians by promoting music and protecting the rights of those who work in the music industry. It also aims to establish a high standard of music education received by pupils in the UK. So what does it mean exactly that I have been given this title? It means that I had to:
prove my qualifications to the ISM by delivering them the copy of my Masters of Arts in Music (specialization Cello Performance) from Royal Conservatoire in Brussels
provide them with references to my previous students who confirmed the quality of my tuition
obtain an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate, that states that I have no criminal record
sign and adhere to the ISM Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy, as well as their Code of Practice and Procedures
All of the above to certify, that I am fully qualified to work as a private cello, piano, music theory, and singing teacher in the UK.
Thank you, ISM, for recognizing the hard work I put into providing the best music tuition I can!
